On 23 May the partners of the LIFE+ project WEISS, the Flemish Environment Agency (VMM) and the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) presented the results and outcomes of the project. During the final conference in Leuven, 45 experts and policymakers from Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels, the Netherlands and Germany were introduced to the WEISS system.
The live demonstration introduced the WEISS prototype, applied on the Flemish region which is located in the international river basins of the Scheldt and the Meuse. In addition, two case studies, as part of the data collection, were presented : 'Pesticide emissions by agricultural activities' and 'Pharmaceuticals in water'.   The feedback of the audience was remarkably positive and ideas for future developments and projects have been launched.

Therefore, we would like to thank all participants and interested stakeholders for their contribution to a successful final conference and the accomplishment of  the project.
